Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy referral is available for patients with musculoskeletal problems, and other certain conditions. You do not need to consult with a GP first, our receptionists can book you an appointment dependant on your symptoms.

Referrals for acute problems of recent onset will be prioritised, and your physiotherapy appointment will either be at our practice, or at St John’s Therapy Centre. All physiotherapists are employees of St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust or Surrey Physio.

Podiatry

NHS Wandsworth operates a community podiatry service. The podiatrists are fully trained in all aspects of care for the feet and lower limbs, including the most common foot problems. They can also help to reduce complications associated with long term medical conditions such as diabetes or vascular problems.

If this is the first time you have accessed the podiatry department, you will be required to see a GP to be referred into this service. To make subsequent appointments, please call the podiatry department directly on 020 8812 6050. Lines are open 09:30 until 15:30 on weekdays only.

Psychological Therapies

All patients can now access counselling and psychology services free of charge via the Talk Wandsworth Service. There are a number of therapeutic interventions available, such as individual therapy, group therapy, guided self-help and computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

This service also has a new employment support service with dedicated employment specialists to support people suffering from anxiety disorders and depression to gain and retain employment. Patients can self-refer by contacting the service directly on 020 3513 6264 and more information and an online referral form is available at www.talkwandsworth.nhs.uk

If you are unsure if this is the correct service for you or wish to discuss issues and difficulties with a doctor, do make an appointment with one of our GPs.
